aria is a Kent based artist who studied Illustration and Graphic Design at Ravensbourne College of Art. Working as a Graphic Designer & Illustrator for many years, she now works as a fine artist, runs weekly art classes for adults in South East London and Kent and has run an Art club within a primary school since 2011.

She has exhibited in juried and curated exhibitions with The Gallery Holt, The Gallery at Green & Stone, The Wales Contemporary, The Pastel Society, The Society of Women Artists, The Society of Graphic Fine Art, The Nottingham Society of Art, The SAA and West End House Gallery. She has been a finalist in several competitions.

A narrative artist, with a high attention to detail, Maria’s work is predominantly executed in oils or soft pastels. Her focus is on relationships, in all its forms. Central to her process is understanding the inner conflict and struggles that determine the path of those connections and conveying these emotions to the viewer.
