I am a practitioner of fine art, living in North Devon. London born, I grew up in Southern Africa, where I studied fine art and graphic art. Currently, I live close to North Devon’s rugged coastline and have painted and exhibited many landscapes and seascapes in both watercolour and acrylic.

A few years ago, I returned to the discipline of rendering the human form in charcoal and graphite, a subject and medium which first drew me to art and fascinates me still. The main aims of my work are to capture the form, shape and detail of the human figure in a way that shows strength, vulnerability, sometimes drama and, occasionally, a small amount of softness
