Richard Eveleigh ASGFA

Biography

Wiltshire-based artist Richard Eveleigh has exhibited work across the United Kingdom, Europe, and America. He held his first solo exhibition in Salisbury at the Oxfam Art Gallery and has supported many charities through the sale of his work. In London, he has exhibited at the Truman Brewery, The Signal Gallery, South Kensington as part of “Art Below”, and the Mall Galleries. Richard regularly exhibits at Ad Lib Gallery in Wimbledon Village.

Richard gained a First-Class Honours degree in Fine Art from the University of Portsmouth in 2011. Shortly after graduating, he suffered a series of brain haemorrhages. While traumatic and disruptive, the experience has become a driving force behind his art. His exploration of perspective drawing reflects this influence, with his work often featuring extreme vantage points and skewed vanishing points that lend his paintings an unsettling, off-balance quality.
