Margaret Eggleton SWA SGFA

Biography 

Born in Sale, Cheshire, Margaret trained as an art teacher in North London and taught in Surrey schools before holding art classes in her home studio and church halls. She now demonstrates her techniques to art groups and exhibits locally, in London and further afield.

Margaret works in ink, watercolour and mixed media and subjects include architecture, cityscapes, landscapes and natural forms. She loves sketching outdoors. She has written and illustrated two drawing books for Search Press and has tutored drawing and painting courses in France, Portugal, Scotland and Cumbria.

Margaret is inspired by strong shapes, harmonious colours, contrasting tones and interesting compositions. All her work has an emphasis on sound drawing.
