Biography
Taylor has worked as a community artist, adult education tutor – teaching drawing and printmaking, and workshop leader, and most recently as Director of a ground-breaking arts and health charity based in Milton Keynes Hospital. She now concentrates on her own professional practice.
Drawing has always been central to her, most importantly in her own personal artwork, but also in her first career at a drawing board and then in teaching since graduating.
Taylor is primarily a printmaker working in woodcut and etching; she uses watercolour painting in her prints to give a greater range of colour, detail and texture to better show her intention to explore and amplify the natural world of trees, plants and flowers.
She has had works accepted into exhibitions in the UK and overseas, including The Society of Graphic Fine Art (The Drawing Society); The Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour; The Society of Botanical Artists; Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, The Society of Women Artists, Royal Society Painter Printmakers and Printmakers Council.
She has work in private collections in the UK, Australia, China and the US.
