Graham Lewis Heron SGFA

Biography 

Professional artist working mainly watercolour and graphite pencil. Elected associate member to the SGFA in 2016.

Born in Bristol, but grew up and educated in High Wycombe Bucks, and now lives in the heart of the Chilterns with his family. He started his working career as an apprentice for company specialising in architectural interiors based in London. After which he was awarded a scholarship to study art and interior design at High Wycombe College of Technology and Art. He found the two year course very inspirational, and says it kickstarted his career. In the seventies he was awarded the Licentiateship ( LICT) for his achievements to industry.

Graham describes his art as both traditional and contemporary, working in watercolour, graphite, coloured pencil, and mixed media. His subjects are varied from portraits, wildlife, landscapes, and creative subjects. He’s always seeking inspirational composition. Loves the outdoors, nature and animals, a keen walker spending frequent breaks in the Lake District, Norfolk, and the rolling hills of the Chilterns.

Since his retirement from his career he now devotes his time on his love of art. Also a member of the West Wycombe Art Club, exhibiting at local exhibitions, his ambition is expand his art nationally.
