Diana Boanas ASGFA

Biography

Diana is a contemporary artist, living and working in Yorkshire.

Her interest in the mundane and everyday objects illustrates the beauty within the ordinary. Her watercolour work is vibrant with rich, dark areas where paint is applied in a combination of loose washes and finer line.

Diana studied art as a specialist subject within her teacher training course, alongside music, which she feels complimented it in the classroom. Following her training, Diana fulfilled a career in primary teaching before moving on to developing stimulating learning activities for children and adults with complex needs.

Enriching the curriculum provided a platform for Diana to share and practice her passion for mark making and creativity.

Since retirement, Diana has devoted her time to building and exploring her painting and drawing skills, with a leaning towards the challenging properties of watercolour painting.

Diana’s award-winning work has been selected for exhibition at the Mall Galleries London for several consecutive years. She has exhibited with :

The Royal Society of Painters in Watercolour the Royal Society of Marine Artists.
