Dawn Limbert ASGFA

Biography 

Pastel artist Dawn Limbert lives and works in North London but is originally from Yorkshire. She is a self-taught artist who first got hooked on soft pastels six years ago. Since then, she has gone from strength to strength devoting all her spare time to making art, painting plein air and in her studio.

She describes herself as a colourist and is inspired by the work of Degas and Sorolla, The Group of Seven Canadian Artists and the Scottish Colourists. She also has a keen interest in the work of Wolf Kahn, David Hockney and Richard McKinley.

Limbert is an associate member of the Manchester Academy of Fine Art, Pastel Society of America, The Pastel Guild of Europe, Southeastern Pastel Society of America and Red Rock Pastel Society of Nevada. She is an active member of Studio Fridays in North London and is an Associate Artist with Unison Colour having written blogs and provided video content for them.
