Claire Sparkes is a figurative artist whose range of subjects primarily focuses upon people and portrait, whilst also encompassing still life, interiors and landscapes.

Drawing is fundamental to her artistic practice, often using graphite. Claire paints with watercolour enjoying its fluidity and versatility, and also oils. She employs a wide range of materials as appropriate for the work’s development.

Claire Sparkes lives and works on the South East coast of England. She exhibits regularly in London, other UK cities, and has exhibited abroad. Since 1995 Claire has also taught a variety of successful art courses.
