Alan Woollett ASGFA

Biography 

Alan Woollett is an English artist who specialises in bird and wildlife using a variety of media, including graphite, watercolour and coloured pencil. His work strives to convey the beauty and diversity of the world’s birds.
He has been drawing and painting for many years and has exhibited in the United Kingdom and abroad. In 1999 he was Birdwatch Bird Artist of the Year exhibition’s overall winner.

And he was the winner of the Earth’s Beautiful Creatures category in the David Shepherd Artist of the Year Awards 2016.

In 2017, his book Bird Art in Graphic and Coloured Pencil was published and has proven to be popular around the world.

Alan has taught his style of bird drawing across the USA and United Kingdom and produced a video tutorial available on the Blueprint art tutorial platform.

Alan has successfully exhibited his drawings in the prestigious Birds in Art exhibition at the Woodson Art Museum in Wisconsin, and in 2019, was elected a Woodson Master Bird Artist.
